The combination of the two forms of registration will ensure that there are full tax benefits for the ngo itself as well as the donors. While section 12a provides tax benefits on the donations received, section 80g gives the donor the right to claim deduction. This will be extremely beneficial for the ngo if both are done together through proper documentation.
