I’m refactoring a backend system hitting major timeout issues with standard SMTP. I need to transition the client to dedicated Bulk Email Marketing Services to handle the server strain.

I’m looking closely at DigitalAka, which provides robust Bulk Email Marketing Services with both SMTP relays and REST APIs. For those running high-volume apps, do you prefer rewriting mailers for REST APIs or sticking to SMTP with async queue workers?
