<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><rss xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/" xmlns:content="http://purl.org/rss/1.0/modules/content/" xmlns:atom="http://www.w3.org/2005/Atom" version="2.0"><channel><title><![CDATA[A great place to start: the DPC&#x27;s &#x27;Novice to Know-How&#x27; course]]></title><description><![CDATA[<p dir="auto"><a href="https://www.dpconline.org/" rel="nofollow ugc">The Digital Preservation Coalition</a> created the “<a href="https://www.dpconline.org/digipres/train-your-staff/n2kh-online-training" rel="nofollow ugc">Novice to Now-How: Digital Preservation Skills for Beginners</a>'', a course aimed at those completely new to the topic.</p>
<p dir="auto">It is part of The National Archives’ innovative digital capacity building strategy, ‘Plugged In, Powered Up,’ which include courses to provide learners with the skills required to develop and implement digital preservation workflows within their organisation.</p>
<p dir="auto">It starts with a broad introduction to digital preservation issues and describes the measures we can take to address these.</p>
<p dir="auto">They'll be releasing their new course “Novice to Know-How: Email Preservation” in July!</p>

<p dir="auto">I personally found their <a href="https://www.dpconline.org/handbook/glossary" rel="nofollow ugc">Glossary</a> really helpful when I first started working for the OPF last year.</p>
